Obtaining a Washington State Real Estate License

The state of Washington requires that anyone practicing real estate sales must be licensed by the State's Dept. of Licensing. To obtain a Washington State real estate license you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Complete an accredited WA state approved 90 clock hour prelicense Real Estate course
  • Pass the Washington State exam
  • Activate your license with a real estate broker
